Marsh Screw Amphibian of Chrysler Corporation vehicle of 1964, was tested among other at ERDC (US Army Engineer Research and Development Center, Vicksburg, Mississippi) and stayed here outdoor for 60 years.  Historian Terry Winschel is trying to save this part of Army history: “All these vehicles tell the stories of the creative, innovative responses to the challenges of their times” he said. After restoration, these vehicles, more than 20 different prototypes, whose the astonishing 'Airoll' and the surprising 'Terrastar' will be stored under a roof to keep the memory of the American innovation in mobility, particularly at ERDC, which were on today's agenda in the 60s and 70s, besides Lunar rovers. The parent vehicle RUC, Riverine Utility Craft, for military use in the 60s, was also used for trenching and dewatering operations in Mobile, Charleston and Norfolk districts. http://images.google.fr/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Fpbs.twimg.com%2Fmedia%2FCqECO0wXEAAXt0e.jpg%3Amedium&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.scoopnest.com%2Fuser%2FArmyERDC%
